Our line of compostable packaging, which we created for one of our clients, has just been nominated for the ART OF PACKAGING award.

The nominated line of packaging is compostable foil and paper packaging that went on sale in the USA. These are packaging from our BIOSIL product category. We used both laminates and a combination of compostable mesh and paper. In total, these are several types of packaging:

• Flow-Pack with an oval window and mesh
• Pouch with a string closure
• Pouch with an easy-open system
• Pillow-bag with a vertical handle

Potatoes, beets and pumpkins packed in this way have reached stores in the USA. Each of the packages is distinguished by an original print made with water-based inks using flexographic technology. Compostable adhesives and components have allowed us to achieve the highest level of environmental sustainability: the packaging is compostable, and this is confirmed by official certificates recognized according to the standards in force in the USA and in the EU.

The official award ceremony is planned for September.
